So which is the least healthy?

Every figure here is for a grande (16oz) made with whole milk. The plain espresso-and-milk drinks stay modest, but once you add sauces, syrups, a Frappuccino base and whipped cream, a 'coffee' quietly turns into liquid dessert — several of these carry more sugar than a can of cola.

A 12oz can of Coca-Cola has about 39g of sugar — a grande Java Chip Frappuccino beats it with roughly 60g, the equivalent of about 1.5 cans. The most caffeine here isn't in a Frappuccino: a grande Caffè Mocha packs ~175mg, while blended Frappuccinos sit lower at ~90–105mg because they're coffee-light.

By the numbers the Java Chip Frappuccino is the least healthy of the nine — about 440 calories and 60g of sugar in one grande, more sugar than a can of cola, thanks to a sweet Frappuccino base, mocha sauce, java chips and whipped cream. If you want coffee without the dessert, a Cappuccino (140 cal, 12g sugar) or Caffè Latte is the smart pour.

All values are for the grande (16oz) size made with whole milk; Frappuccino and mocha-style drinks include their standard whipped cream.

Caramel Macchiato is the one 'caramel' drink served without whipped cream by default.

Caffeine varies by roast and shot pulls; blended Frappuccinos use a coffee-light base, so they have less caffeine than the espresso drinks.
